Dr. Ashley Elgin

Superintendent

Dr. Elgin’s career in youth and family advocacy, prevention and early intervention spans nearly 30 years and has included an emphasis on programs that support healthy child development and strong mental health outcomes. Her previous roles have included positions with Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Genesis Women’s Shelter and SafeHaven of Tarrant County. In 2017, she was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award, Non-Profit CEO of the Year by Community Council of Dallas. Dr. Elgin holds a B.A. in Psychology from Louisiana State University, an M.S. in Counseling from Loyola University and a Ph.D. in Counseling from University of North Texas.

Dr. Victoria Sendejo

Chief of Education Services

Dr. Victoria Sendejo has served in the education field for more than 25 years in roles as a High School English Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Special Education Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Associate Superintendent. She currently serves as the Chief of Education Services for Lena Pope and Chapel Hill Academy. Chapel Hill Academy is an open-enrollment, tuition-free, public charter school in southwest Fort Worth that improves families’ access to high-quality educational opportunities by focusing on academic and interpersonal skills from Pre-K to 8th grade. Dr. Sendejo earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Texas and her Doctor of Education at Texas Wesleyan University. She holds Texas educator certifications in Special Education EC-12, Principal, and Superintendent. She was trained in the Art of Leadership program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.  Dr. Sendejo has been recognized as the 2022 Region XI TEPSAN of the Year, Modern Woodmen of America Hometown Hero, and has participated in the Texas Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents’ Mentoring Program. She is a Past President of Region XI Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) and currently serves on various committees within the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Amy Jo Miller-Wall

Principal

Amy Jo Miller-Wall has been in the education field for more than 20 years. At Chapel Hill Academy, she has served as the Associate Principal, Education Research and Data Coordinator, Middle School Assistant Principal, and now serves as the Principal. With a Master’s of Education Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a bachelor’s degree in education from West Texas A & M, Ms. Miller-Wall has enjoyed her work both in the classroom and as an administrator. She provides strategic leadership and is responsible for creating an inspiring a positive learning culture that supports both staff and students.

Azure Dismike

Azure Dismuke

Assistant Principal

Azure Dismuke has 15 years of experience in education and has come to truly understand her ability to influence the behavior of others while inspiring them and building trusting relationships. Ms. Dismuke has a Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership from the University of Texas Permian Basin and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Paul Quinn College. As the assistant principal, she oversees curriculum and instruction where she supports the development and implementation of the curriculum to foster career growth and increase learner achievement at CHA. She also serves as the Testing Coordinator. Her strengths include teacher mentoring, curriculum design and improvement, and leading effective PLCs.

Jon McCracken

Jon McCracken

Director of Campus Operations

Mr. McCracken has worked in education for 6 years both in the classroom and as an administrator. Mr. McCracken has a bachelor’s degree in general studies from Columbia College and served in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years.  As Director of Campus Operations he works diligently to ensure Chapel Hill Academy’s campus and students have strong safety and security protocols in place.

Anthony Cathey

Dean of Students

Anthony Cathey has 22 years of experience in education and has been at Chapel Hill Academy for 3 years.  Mr. Cathy has a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Leadership from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He is trained in Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) and many other safety certifications. As Dean of Students, Mr. Cathey works diligently with Behavior Management Team to manage behaviors and instill discipline with positive results on Chapel Hill Academy’s campus.
